Namesdao Chia Innovation Grants

Quick decisions; little/no paperwork
Supporting projects like:

– fully open-source wallet apps

– integrations & experiments w/ Namesdao .xch names

– experiments using NAME tokens

– crazy ideas

Grant recipients may sell the tokens, or use the tokens to register names, e.g. using our namesdao-cli command line tool, or just hold them, etc.

The grants serve as a recognition of efforts achieved, and provide some modest funding as well.

E2: 100 NAME tokens to a significant non-Chia Networks Inc. developer for contributing to each of the next 3 x.x releases of the Chia wallet or Namesdao .xch wallet, including for example the 1.7.0 release (Namesdao team not eligible for the reward either) [ Announced 10 Feb 2023 ]

Security / Bug Bounties

Security bounties, please contact us via Keybase @rightsexyorc or Twitter in case of security vulnerability discovery in Namesdao products and offerings @theNamesdao and @BenAtreidesVing

Additionally, Namesdao will generally also provide an additional 20% or more to any security bounty awarded by Chia Network Inc., at the rate of 1 NAME token per dollar, with a total cap of 1,000 NAME Tokens per year for Chia Network bounties.

We also provide security bounties covering wallets that integrate Namesdao .xch name resolution. Please contact the affected wallet’s security team directly, and then contact us after responsibly disclosing the security issue to the team and receiving confirmation from the wallet team.

Note: Please contact us in case of any ambiguity in bounty definitions, or if you have some question. Namesdao’s interpretation of whether a bounty submission’s terms have been fulfilled shall be the final decision.

COMPLETED – NO LONGER AVAILABLE: A1: Rarity index for Namesdao .xch Names, e.g. it could consider groupings like # of underscores, # of characters, is only letters, is only numbers, 7 numbers club, # of chars (excl underscores), the month-year combination of the first registration of the name, … This could be created by downloading the Namesdao .xch Name collection with the API of a major NFT of blockchain explorer like MintGarden or Spacescan. Then parse the reply JSON, run the statistics, and calculate rarity. Then put together some basic HTML output, perhaps a JSON version also, and then upload somewhere. Then set up a daily cron job to run the script and update it. 500 NAME tokens, first half upon release and second half upon 3 months of regular service.
